From Yenogua, Bayelsa State
Information reaching 247ureports.com has it that the former Nigerian Ambassador to Kuwait, Alhaji Ibrahim Kaseem Sabo has been brought in to facilitate on behalf of Bayelsa State Government and the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] in Abuja to induce and influence the Supreme Court Judgment reserved for ruling on Monday next week.
Authoritative source said that the former Ambassador to the Kuwait Republic has come under intense pressure by the Bayelsa State Government along with the National Party Secretariat to grease the bolts of the ruling on Monday next week.
Alhaji Ibrahim Kaseem Sabo is alleged to have a working relationship with the Supreme Court. He is considered a good facilitator. He has been called upon to help the Bayelsa State Government and the PDP by reaching out to the Supreme Court Justices.
According to a source in Abuja, “the alleged former Ambassador is moving with Bayelsa State allocation in Abuja to ensure that the dirty job is done with all carefulness”. But the carefully guarded secret was let out the bag via a source that felt shortchanged by the process of facilitating the funds to the Supreme Court Justices.
“Now the government and the party officials are finding it difficult to have a head way since the matter came to the public domain and they are very uncomfortable on how to address the matter before Monday next week”, said the source from Yenogua.
A security operative in Yenogua revealed that virtually all the politicians in Bayelsa have moved to Abuja in respect of the Monday Judgment and that most of the hotels have been booked for top government officials including party officials. “The state is now empty”.
Another source in Yenagoa adds that “we were told that they influenced the Appeal Court Judgment in August 31st, 2012 and now they have gone to the last court of the land. It is God that will save Bayelsa State and if the right thing is not done in the land, the state will continue to suffer in the hands of wrong”.
The source continued to add that “workers’ salaries have not been paid with their allowances. I am a top civil servant in the state; the Governor has killed the civil service in the state. Two days ago, the Governor removed the only female Head of Service alleging that she is communicating with the former Governor, Chief Timipre Sylva, for what? Is that enough reason to compulsorily retire her? The governor is confused on policies and development of the state”.
Presently the Restoration Agenda in Bayelsa State is roped with financial impropriety, embezzlement and diversion of money meant for the flood victims who are left in abject poverty in their various camps.
Nonetheless, a source close to the Supreme Court affirms that the present Chief
Justice of Nigeria (CJN) as no nonsense Judge who has been known to “call black black and white white”
