2015: Jonathan Endorses Diaspora Voting

President Goodluck Jonathan disclosed yesterday that Nigerians in diaspora could  vote in the 2015 general elections an issue, he said, he would address next year.
He also promised Nigerians in Diaspoira that Nigerian government would be soon bring the gory killings of the Islamic extremists group, Boko Haram, which has turned the country into a nightmare to an end.
According to the president, the efforts of the government, activities of the group has been reduced drastically.
In addition, Jonathan who responded to other issues tabled before him by Nigerians in Niamey, the capital of Niger Republic at a meeting with Nigerians residing in that country, bordering security challenges, education, roads and power assured the people that the president that would come after him would not be asked questions bordering on infrastructure.
The president hinted that he has directed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to look at the possibilities in which Nigerians in Diaspora are able to vote in the presidential and gubernatorial elections as a starting point.
Jonathan left the country for a working visit to Niamey where he joined  President Issoufou Mohammadou  of  Niger Republic in presiding over a scheduled meeting of the High Authority of the Nigeria-Niger Joint Commission for Cooperation.
Responding to a question of the possibilities of Diaspora voting come 2015, Jonathan said though he was not going to give a 100% response now as he was not sure whether it was feasible, Jonathan said, “I have asked INEC to work towards it by 2015.
