The national Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday, shifted the party’s National Convention, slated for December 6, to December 10 and 11, just as it extended the submission of expression of interest and nomination forms by President Goodluck Jonathan for the 2015 presidential election by one week.
The PDP also moved its governorship primary election to December 8 while that of the Senate will now hold on December 7, even as submission of expression of interest and nomination forms for governorship aspirants was extended by one week.
With the new time-table released by the party, the president will now submit his forms by November 15 as against yesterday, while governorship aspirants will now submit their forms November 14.
In the 2014 guidelines released after the 66th National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting, the PDP had fixed the governorship primary election for November 29 while the Senate primary election would have taken place November 22.
