The police commissioner said the intruder was so strong that an injection had to be administered on him in order to immobilize him. The suspect was subsequently transferred to military authorities because he is a retired military man, the commissioner added.
“The man forced his way and the police were alerted and rushed to the scene, it was then that our men and other good Samaritans caught him. Despite that they had to tie him because he was too powerful, and soldiers were alerted and they collected him and thereafter, took him to a psychiatric hospital to ascertain the state of his mental health,” he said.
When contacted, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army in Kaduna, Lt. Col. Abubakar Edun said he is currently not in Kaduna so he was officially aware of the incident.
