Reports from Owerri, the Imo State capital, indicate that the Governor has dissolved the State Executive Council. One of the affected officials who pleaded anonymity confirmed that the Governor broke the news at the end of the State Executive Council held earlier today (Wednesday 17 July 2013) and affected all Commissioners, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and other aides. A formal statement is being awaited from the Governors's office. We will keep you updated.
