The Kaduna State government has completely lifted the curfew it imposed on the state June 17, following suicide bomb attacks on three churches in Zaria and Kaduna respectively.
The state government yesterday said that the prevailing peace and orderliness in all parts of the state has encouraged the lifting of the curfew in Kaduna metropolis and its environs, including areas where movement was initially restricted between 12pm to 6am.
A statement issued after the State Executive Council meeting, said “in view of improved security situation in Kaduna State, the Security Council met today and after extensive deliberation, decided to completely remove the curfew hours with effect from today, Wednesday.
However, the statement which was signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Media, Mr. Reuben Buhari, stressed that “Okada operators in the state are to adhere strictly to the restriction on their movement which takes effect from 9pm to 6am in the morning, urging the people to remain law-abiding and cooperate with security Personnel.
