Senate Committee Chairman Calls For Probe Of Dana Crash

Senate Committee chairman on Aviation, Senator Hope Uzodimma yesterday described as shocking the crash of Dana Airline in Agege, Lagos, in which 153 passengers and crew members lost their lives, just as he called for an intensive investigation of the incident to ascertain the remote cause.
He lamented that the crash was occuring at a time when the Federal Government had put in place the necessary machinary to revamp the aviation industry.
Calling for an immediate probe into the air accident  by the necessary authorities in the aviation ministry, the lawmaker said this must be done with a view to unearthing the cause and averting future occurence.
While commiserating with families of the victims, Uzodima assured that his committee was bent on putting in place laws that would gaurantee the safety of air travellers in the country.
