Former minister of defence, Lt. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (rtd), has clarified his comment on the dire situation of some states in the North which he made during the 50th Birthday celebration  of the Chairman of LEADERSHIP Group, Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah, in Abuja on Tuesday.
In a telephone conversation with LEADERSHIP yesterday, Danjuma, who had said Jigawa was among the three failed or failing states, clarified that the reference to Jigawa was an error.
He said he meant to mention Yobe State and not Jigawa.
It would be recalled that the elder statesman, who was also the Chairman of the occasion, said he was deeply disturbed by the total breakdown of law and order in some northern states and what he described as “the Somalianisation” of Nigeria.
