INSTIUTING A NATIONAL PRAYER AS A PERMANENT SOLUTION TO INCESSANT BOMBINGS AND TERORISM IN NIGERIA

I am the Chairperson of the above non-Governmental Organization I got this inspiration after a burdened prayer to the Lord on this incessant bombings. We might become an example to the entire world on the major way to settle terrorism, by instituting a national daily prayer as a means to stop terrorism.  Other security plan may be going on, but this prayer should proceed them. your Excellency Sir, this prayer will be just a few minute prayers where every Nigerian will stop what he or she is doing to call on God by repeating the prayer on the second stanza of our national Anthem. “Oh God………………………………

If somebody has reminded Americans of a historical event, when President George Washington in 1774 call a National fasting and prayer when British parliament gave an order to take over the sea port of Boston, and Abraham Lincoln in 1867 when there was a threat of our break of Civil War called for National Prayers etc. they did this at a time of these challenges and they got victory. If the present days American Presidents had followed the line of action of their fore fathers it would not have taken American 2 years to catch up with the leader of the terrorist or completely stop the Al-Quede.

Psalm 127:1, says except the Lord watches …………, Nigerians has been praying, moslem in their own way, Christian in their own way, this particular national daily prayer will be a case, where Nigerians pray’s with one voice, and unanimously irrespective of religion, signifying Nigerians hope and trust in God to settle this problem. It will mean a lot spiritually and it will yield results, because God desired recognition of his ability to save not only by individuals but even nations.

Again I discovered that the nation has no avenue where the teachings from parental up-bringing, religions, culture, philosophical and political systems (which tends towards “self “) are censored and the right teaching that will make Nigerians know what their nation expects from them, imparted into Nigerian Citizens.

I see in our National Anthem and Pledge, (when given a deeper perceptions) a national moral and value teaching which is supposed to be built into our education curriculum from primary to tertiary. The will help to censored the self teachings that leads to unpatriotic acts like Bombings Kidnapping Rioting and so on, these men are bringing out what the society has put into them. We suggest that for the main time, lets devote a time in a television and radio programme to teach a deeper perspective of our national Anthem and Pledge, Your Excellency Sir, you can use it as an interactive time with the nation – where you will bring the nation to the awareness of what the national Anthem is actually saying to Nigerians and what Nigeria expects from her citizens.

I and my N.G.O will gladly help in any duty you will assigned to us to help achieve success with this divinely inspired idea.  We are already having programmes in love F.M (104.5) radio station. We want to make your government make an indelible mark in Nigerian History.
